Reversing Reality

(images are from "Desert Jewels", North African jewelry and photography from the xavier guerrand-hermes collection)

I took out a bunch of amazing books from the library this week to fuel some inspiration. Shown above is a pendant from the 20th century of the Tuareg people of Sahara Morocco. The pendant is made of silver and red agate. The image on the top is the original image in the book and the image on the bottom is the same exact image and pendant but flipped upside down. Wouldn't it totally make for a really rad ring? The design of this piece is so simple and yet so elegantly on point.
